If you are running website and you want to target local & global crowd for your site, you need to distribute your local information on the internet or search engines and local business directory. This type of distribution of information is called local citation.
Local Citation:
In simple SEO terms a Local Citation is simply where your company is mentioned on other websites and places found on the Internet. Local citations are used heavily in helping you to rank in local search results.
An example of a citation could be a business directory such as Yell, Thompson Local or Brown Book where your company is mentioned explicitly by name. Local citations do not to include a link to your site. It could also be where your company is mentioned, cited, referenced or spoken about on other local websites.
How do they work?
If Google finds your company information on other local websites and citation directories it can be very confident that your business operates its services in these locations, and ensures Google are more likely to display your business listing when a person performs a search for the types of products or services you provide.
What are the different sorts of citations?
• General business directories
• Industry, niche or sector specific directories (Trip Advisor, Connecting Dance)
• Local newspaper and press websites
• Local themed blogs – For example LeftLion would be great for local night life (bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants or venues)
• Prominent local websites (particularly if they’re related to your business niche)
• Social Profiles (Twitter, FourSquare, Facebook, YouTube)

301 Moved Permanently
A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect which passes between 90-99% of Rank value to the redirected page. The 301 redirect is the best method for implementing redirects on a website.
302 Moved Temporarily
A 302 redirect is a temporary redirect. It passes 0% of Rank Value, in most cases, should not be used. The Internet runs on a protocol called HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) which dictates how URLs work. It has two major versions, 1.0 and 1.1. In the first version, 302 referred to the status code "Moved Temporarily." This was changed in version 1.1 to mean "Found."

How to identify Website before submission:
• Do not use AD heavy Website
• Do not use website, which contain many out bounds links.
• Do not use website, which contain resource page or links exchange pages.
• Do not use similar C class IP website
• Do not use website, which provide paid links
• DO not use website, in which contain hidden link or incorrect images and many anchor text to a single site
• Do not use NA page rank website and also you can should be ignore 0 PR website ASAP, its use only with strong reason.
• Do not use instant approval website which not required registration.
• Identify your page authority or domain authority
Check Domain Authority and Page Authority is the way of identify the quality of website
Domain Authority measures the predictive ranking strength of entire domains or sub domains
Page Authority measures the strength of individual page
if your page authority is higher than domain authority, that isn't good. it should be better if domain authority is higher than page authority because it will show that the website has been up and running for a while

Ignore a website offering duplicate HTML version which could be embedded by copy and paste the provided code

What Exactly Major Difference between DO FOLLOW & NO FOLLOW?
A website offering do follow link , it pass the own page value to other website.
A website offering No follow link , it doesn’t pass the own page value to other website.

Hcard will help search engines index your business in directories, business listings, for search results, for local place pages, as well as it will help review sites link reviews to your website.
